"The repetitive banality extends itself into deliberate contemplation. The minimalistic video image echoes the constant inner thoughts of daily reminders to oneself: In order to be perfect, one must practice. In order to be completed, one needs to have the other. In order to be remembered, one must repeat one’s past. In order to be?"
June Pak's description is sufficient to itself. By force of implicit persuasion, it shapes our views and feelings about what is presented to us. Her description could be coupled with any sequence of image to create a similar response from the viewer.
June Pak has definitely mastered the art of description and persuasion.

DiRosa's work floats atop an atmosphere rich with intellectual metaphor. This body of work in particular is tragically beautiful.

the part with Casper the ghost got me the most; i remember watching this cartoon as a child. i get this weird dreamy, deja vu feeling. I hope this was intentional.

As something that takes can take control of a viewer and projects meaning through something besides your traditional 5 senses, this piece made an unorthodox connection to me through its manipulation of breathing patterns.

i get nauseous watching him run in circles like that. i couldn't imagine doing that for an hour. sometime i do think the world is sort of mundane and boring as far as media and advertisement and corporate world in general: another reality show, another mcdonalds, another hip clothes brand. people get sucked up in these things because they are repeated bombarded with the imagery; they begin to think what is shown to them is what is important. it's all about manipulation and money.

I thought he did the no shoes on purpose, but it makes it even more absurd and funny that he didn't mean to do this, he just forgot to put the shoes back on.

I can relate to this idea of mindless exercises which when go threw, many things we do are so repetitive it becomes habit, often I accidently drive in the wrong direction because it is a habit for me to turn right on this road or left on that road, and I don't realize until I arrive at my destination finding that I am in a familiar place but not where I was wanted to end up.

I understand this as it is impossible for the effects of what we do or the past to be erased, every decision we make, everything we do effects someone or something, I can relate it to Run Lola Run.

This "never-ending deluge" of what is happening to the world, is something which unfortunately I think people will not see, or see and not care about until it is too late, this video does just this and its repetition adds to this effect of "hopelessness" for those which do care and see the problems in the everyday things we do that cause issues which we don't thinks about.

Why do we do what we do? Is there really any point to the actions which we do day to day? wake up, eat, go to school, go home, eat, sleep, wake up, go to work, eat, go to sleep, what next?
